Over The Years
Launched the first fine art wedding blog in Canada
"Satin & Snow" started as a wedding inspo and vendor guide for Ottawa couples and became an international award-winning wedding guide. It got super popular fast.
Became Ottawa's hottest wedding planning company
After many requests through our blog, we officially started offering wedding planning and design services. Our team, budgets and services grew exponentially from this point.
Opened our first event boutique & studio
We were the most sought-after wedding planners in the city, so we used that momentum to open an event decor & gift boutique in Westboro which also served as our studio. But we outgrew it fast!
Rebranded, got a warehouse and expanded our services
Satin & Snow became Frid Events. We moved to a huge, beautiful warehouse and started doing everything for events: planning, design, coordination, florals, rentals and stationery.
Brittany meets Lee and retires as a planner
Boy meets girl, boy drops everything to work with girl through crazy post-Covid season, boy becomes our Production Manager and now they travel the world together and foster cats in their home-based studio. We have also officially retired our event planning & coordination services to better serve our clients in our design capacity.
Became the *exclusive* decorators & florists for the National Arts Centre!
This changes everything. We're thrilled to be partnering with the National Arts Centre on all of their weddings & events.
